Review # 1 was written on 2013-08-09 00:00:00 Brandi Apps This review book is awful, and yet seems to be the only available option for FTCE review. Its riddled with spelling errors, incorrect numerical amounts that are easily checked, and labels on diagrams overlap each other so that some are unreadable. Worse, after taking thr FTCE this morning I find the content hardly matching. The book (conceptually) is a basic review of science ethics, investigative science, some basic chemistry, cell function, sciences history, etc. It seems like a nice overview (if sometimes WAY more in depth than a high school course ever is) that could almost serve as a final study guide to an exam covering my college biology courses (except for how clumsily the text is executed). The actual exam focused more on microbiology, physiology (both non-required electives, btw), and basic evolution and ecology. If you're rusty on definitions or basic processes of cell theory (snd don't mind way too much detail) pick it up. Or just Google FTCE Biology Flashcards, since the packs I found are basically the book verbatim. Good luck either way!
