Review # 1 was written on 2018-04-09 00:00:00 Christopher Shaddox For anyone interested in the history of the motor vehicle, this 2-volume set is a must have. Georgano and his team give details of nearly every brand/make of car manufactured in the world from the late 19th century up to the end of the 20th century. While the famous brands and makes are mentioned in detail, it is the obscure, unknown and unusual cars that make this book such a great read. I read it in full from the front of Volume 1 to the back of Volume 2, but it works best if you need to find information about a specific brand/make, or just opening a random page and seeing what cars are contained on that page. As well as the informative text, the Encyclopedia also makes excellent use of photos to further illustrate the cars mentioned.
