Arnstine discusses major issues with the public school system and his image of schooling in the ideal. Because he is envisioning the ideal, many of his proposals do not have methods of implementation or even solutions to the problems he is addressing. That being said, his claims and ideas may seem unrealistic and "easier said than done" but give a good starting point for new and experienced teachers to think about the environment and structure of their classrooms and whether it is benefiting their students the most.

Had to read for a class. Arnstine has a lot of great thoughts of what the problems are, but doesn't follow through with how to fix them.
