Review # 1 was written on 2014-05-18 00:00:00 Lee Ann Conrad Linda Johns is an artist, sculptor, and wild bird rehabber who lives with her husband, Mack, in Nova Scotia. Her writing is so beautifully descriptive, reading her books is the next best thing to cuddling and warming a baby bird in your hands, or taking a woodland walk, or visiting the seashore. With both humor and sadness, and great love and generosity, she describes their feathered clients, celebrating the ones who are returned to the wild, mourning the ones who die, and sharing her life with the ones who stay with them, in their home, because they can no longer function as wild birds, but instead become family members. I really enjoy her books! |
