Twin Text book: Ginger By: Charlotte Voake Growing up, "Ginger" was always be all time favorite book. I had a cat obsession and loved the story line behind it. The types of cats that were displayed in "Exotic Cats" reminded me of the cool features of Ginger. Ginger is about a pampered older cat who has a great life, until an annoying little kitten moves in with him. At first Ginger wants nothing to do with him and thinks life is terrible now. But in the end they learn to like each other and they get along great. After the children learn about what it takes to have an exotic cat as a pet, they can imagine what it is like taking care cats like Ginger.

After providing some history behind how exotic cats have been bred into existence from Persian cats, the book describes different types of exotic cats and explains the type of care they need. There are several great photographs of these beautiful felines. Cat lovers especially will find the book appealing. I would have liked to have known more about some of the health issues these cats face and how far the breeding efforts will be allowed to go in an attempt to create a certain type of cat.
