Review # 1 was written on 2014-11-04 00:00:00 Lloyd Paxton This is a great information book, I'm pretty sure they leave nothing out and the fact that she did this including the pictures all by herself blows my mind. This book starts with a great map of where you can find these animals. It also asks the reader to find serval key words in the book that strictly relate to the bear species. It moves in to talk about what the Alaska big bears, and how they are the biggest fishermen in the world. Keeping it simple they move in to talk about how they find food, and what bear fishing is like. It then talks about how they are winter bears and how they raise a family. After that is all done and over with they talk about watching the brown bears. They also have a note to adults for when they teach children about this bears. While there isn't a lot of information in the book, there is some good basic information that is good for young readers. It's not over boarded with words but the text is written in paragraphs. The pictures, are beautiful with details I didn't even know was possible. They also are provided with captions that are helpful for children to read and then to read the page to understand what the text is talking about.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-06-25 00:00:00 Jay Peters Good introduction to some animals and the parts of a wetland. I would have liked to see more animals including frogs (my children love to learn about creatures we can find in our local wetlands and ponds). It was good though and the pictures were great!
