I cannot believe there are no reviews on this book! It seems this book is seriously underrated, and that's a pity. Okay, maybe one of the reasons is that future physicists are wary of any textbook which offers solutions to problems instead of them, but I think students and physicists-in-training should pick up this book. Tamvakis has covered a lot of topics, collected a vast number of exercises and provided clear, easy to follow solutions. It would be very helpful to students that have a hard time with their Quantum mechanics courses. And I don't mean that in the sense that they should copy the solution given by Tamvakis if the identical problem should crop up in their homework. I think that this book is an excellent guide to students, who can, just by looking at the way how are these problems supposed to be solved, discern what kind of reasoning is to be used when tackling problems from the field of Quantum Mechanics. Even the most advanced students, that don't need help, could find some inspiration while sifting through the contents of the book. All in all, I would highly recommend this book.

Tamvakis' book is the most appropriate book for becoming really skillful in doing quantum mechanics. It mostly consists of highly mathematical exercises. It is clear from the start that there were carefully chosen. Make no mistake: anybody who works through this problems book will become masterful in solving highly mathematical Quantum Mechanics problems. The techniques that one must use to solve these are plentiful and very interesting. Although there are also other problems books on Quantum Mechanics, such as Galitski's, the problems here are of different nature, which means that this book fills in a gap in the literature.
