** Books 240 - 2016 ** 3,8 of 5 stars! I just loved how the writers put some Coffee wisdom into our daily life self-help! Sometimes when we have a difficult journey and need take a break a little bit that's a time when we need this motivation books :') There are seven principles of coffee wisdom such as : 1. Reheating Causes Bitterness Coffee should not be reheated. Every time you brew a cup. it needs to be fresh. Make only as much as you plan to drink. About life : Don't rehash the past. Your past is the reason, not the excuse. Let go what is gone. You can't change what has been done or said. Let the past go. Remember that you did the very best that you could do at the time and now look forward to a positive future. 2. Start with Fresh Grounds Do not reuse grounds. You'll only end up with bitter and unpleasant tastes. About life : Learn from mistakes, don't repeat them. Learn from your mistakes. Don't get bitter about or use them as an excuse to stop trying. Turn rejection and disappointment into resolve and direction. 3. Use the correct Grind Use the correct grind for your coffee maker. If you grind too fine, this will cause bitterness. If you grind is too coarse, the coffee will be watery. About life: Put right what you can, and accept what you cannot. Choose your responses to situations carefully. Take appropriate action if you can, but if you can't, learn to let go. 4. Use High-Quality Beans and Fresh, pure, cold water Use fresh cold water. water is around 98 percent of every cup; to ensure you get the finest taste, consider using a water filter or bottled water. choose top-quality beans. For your cup of coffee to be top quality you need to make sure you get the main ingredient right. About life: Celebrate your uniqueness. Just as the ingredients you use for coffee must be fresh and pure, you need the confidence to be true to yourself and to trust your instincts. Follow every oppotunity that allows you to express who you really are, and watch as your creativity transforms you into a deeper, more fully aware person. 5. Get the proportions Right The proportion of coffee to water is vital. Experts recommends using 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for each 6 fluid ounces of water. Regardless of how much coffee you make, you need to keep these proportions consistent. Proportions can be adjusted according to taste, but using less coffee makes for a thin, bitter-tasting brew. About life: Challenge irrational thinking. Keep a sense of proportion and perspective. Life isn't easy, and you may make mistakes, but you are still a worthwhile human being. Challenge negative thinking, and find the displine to solve problems instead of complaining about them 6. Boiling Destroys the Flavor Boiling causes bitterness, so never boil coffee. It should be brewed between 195'F and 205'F(90'C-96'C) About life: Check your stress levels. Balance your body, mind and spirit. 7. Drink it while It's Hot Drink your coffee soon after it is made. Coffee can be kept warm for only about fifteen minutes over a burner before the flavor becomes unpleasant About life: Live in the present with an attitude of positive expectancy. Believe in yourself, and spend time on what matters. Wake up every morning and smell the coffee. Live your life to the full and savor every precious moment Anothing interesting from this books i can say that i'm cappucino and latte type person. I do love espresso but maybe it only need take one part and other 3/4 parts are full foamed milk hahhaa.. I just love the fresh milk and i can't stand too much espresso since i have gastritis and if it has high level for acidity :') Such a fun motivation books to read in this afternoon! :) Thankyou Bookmate!

This little book was given to me by Jim (my husband) when he returned from a trip'he knows my penchant for latte's. The author uses the many facts about coffee as metaphor for how to improve one's life'I like both parts. For example, Principle #1 compares reheating coffee and rehashing the past'both contribute to bitterness. And the final Principle "Drink It While It's Hot"'obviously the best way to drink coffee, which the author compares to living in the present. Besides philosophy, the book has lots of interesting trivia about coffee, like: "In 18th Century London coffee houses were often known as 'penny universities''you paid a penny to enter and 2 pennies for the coffee and a paper." A fun and worthwhile read.
