Review # 1 was written on 2018-09-27 00:00:00 Eddie Bellemin Very nice, if necessarily schizophrenic collection of dishes, reflecting the Southwest's Western, Southern, Indian, and Mexican culinary traditions. This '90s book reflects a regional optimism that may be harder to come by nowadays.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-07-15 00:00:00 Nina Schjnsby The recipes are all tempting. It's best to have at least some tortilla chips and salsa nearby whilst perusing. BUT, if you don't like chopping peppers, don't buy this book! And the desserts? Sweet potato spice rack pie. Adobe pie, made with two kinds of ice cream, plus Kahlua chocolate sauce. Blueberry cornbread pudding with custard sauce. Dammit! Now there's drool all over my keyboard.
