Review # 1 was written on 2011-10-16 00:00:00 Robert Dangelo 2008 This book is a retrospective of all the quilts MS Nadelstern make in a 30 year career. She had an exhibit of her quilts at The American Folk Art Museum and this book is a result of that exhibit. She does include an explanation of how to make similar quilts, she discusses piecing techniques and design strategies. She shows you how to make templates of her patches, mark them so you can fussy cut the patches. She uses simple wedges, triangles and squares that make lovely mirror image kaleidoscopic blocks. It is the genius of placement on the fabric that results in these distinctive blocks. Ms Nadelster explains what type of fabric gives the best results and is important concept to understand before you try this quilt.
