Review # 2 was written on 2017-07-16 00:00:00 Tamara Kliment This is a great rhyming story. It is a little bit longer than most stories of the gingerbread man, but I really love it. It is perfect to use with folktales or a unit on Alaska or arctic animals. The little man meets muskox, lemming, raven, Ptarmigan, hare, caribou, marmot, golden eagle and arctic fox. The illustrations are a little bit strange but kids might enjoy discussing the different style of representing animals with such large shadows. This is a great story to discuss and even springboard into some fun animal research. Highly recommended for grades 1-3.
