Wow! Talk about a feel-good romance. My eyes are starry! This series concluded even better than I could have hoped. I was worried for a while, because I loved the main couple so much and the uke had a brief but very intimate fling with the "third wheel." (People seem to like that guy but I hate him for getting between the main characters like that, and then bragging about it to hurt the seme! I'm glad he got punched for that. Jerk.) But anyway, it ended beautifully and this is definitely a favorite series of mine.

Comparing this couple to romeo and juliet is absurd. Yes, they are in rival factions who would kill them if they were found out and yes they can't get married but that's because they're men but the big unlike R&J is that one of the couple is working his ass off to make his dreams come true. R&J just lied to everyone then drank poison. No HEA if everyone is dead. So, Kyoya (puppy) is back pushing his luck and just begging to be whacked as he actively harasses Homura while being employed by Touji. Homura is confused and reluctant with everyone but seems to making progress with Touji when Touji's dad pushes up the daises. Not literally but he has to step down as head of the family, leaving Touji as the new yakuza boss. Dating a rival business yazuka was bad enough, dating the rival boss is impossible. Becoming boss also brings responsibilities such as a marriage alliance, which pushes Homura into the pet bed with the puppy. Of course being a puppy, Kyoya stupidly tells Touji that Homura is now his and as a reward gets his lights punched out. Touji is making plans. Homura is rolling around in the kennel feelling guilty and loverlorn. Then someone gets shot and you finally get to see how bad ass Homura can be. Because honestly, you had to wonder why Touji had his boxers all in a twist over a wishy washy uke all this time. Homura hunts with a ruthlessness that scares everyone. In the end, the two factions decided to create a neutral zone of business territory and Homura and Touji are to head up the first joint business venture. Tada! You get yakuza business men in love, screwing each other and no one had to die. Okay, someone had to get shot but in the end it is a HEA. PS: Kyoya leaves with his tail between his legs but you can't hate him. He's not stupid, just really naive and he was really in love. His story continues in GRAVITY EYES. Man this kid just has tons of bad karma.
