Review # 2 was written on 2016-12-02 00:00:00 Joseph Gibson So were it all start is at the Jeters house and Derek goes up to his mom and says I want to be A baseball player. She said if you want it go for it. So he went out side every day and practiced and he said it was hard. But he never gave up and he made it to the mlb in 1995 and played to 2013 and he is 41 now and retired So there is Derek Jeter and what his character does in the book is he makes you laugh and he has a good scene of humor . And he makes you laugh because he just makes up these jokes and they are funny. Then there is Jake and what he does is he pushes Derek to work harder and he is the one that trains him. The them in this book is not to give up on your dream. And to work hard for it. And if you want to be a dancer or something like that go for it no one is stopping you and if they say you can not do it you can you just got to work harder then every body else. Like Derek Jeter said to him self that he could do it and he did do it and it hurts to but it all pays of. My opinion on this book is that it is really good because I am in love with baseball and my favorite team is the Yankees and I play short stop and second and first so that's why I love this book and I want to play in the mlb and I recomand reading this book because it is how he mad it to the mlb and he never gave up.
