Review # 1 was written on 2013-10-08 00:00:00 Mario Stanisic The 2003 edition of this text provides a detailed overview of fashion merchandising from sourcing raw materials to retail consumer sales. There's so much information that I read it over the span of several months. It's chapter recaps, section summaries, and glossary are excellent.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-11-08 00:00:00 Raven Sweet This is an excellent reference for anyone looking to understand garment construction. It is a very well laid out book with lots of photos, diagrams and explanations, broken down into easy-to-use sections. It is the sort of book you can dip in to when you need some information but also can be 'read' from cover to cover. Includes some interesting thoughts on the ethics of fabric and fashion at the end to keep you thinking about where you source materials and the impact items can have on the world around us. Definitely one for the reference shelf if you have any interest in design and making clothes.
