Review # 1 was written on 2016-01-02 00:00:00 Jason Hersch This man's an irritating quack. He stole Aristotle's main theories and Christianized them to a point where they stopped making any sense. I found most of his arguments to be fairly circular and easily visualized with the not-so-invisible ending of "because God says so." A few of his arguments were actually interesting, thought-provoking and--dare I say it--nearly believable, but they were few and far between. Whatever issue you have with the Roman Catholic church you can ultimately thank Aquinas for. |
Review # 2 was written on 2009-03-27 00:00:00 Ken Landsbaum Star rating is not for the Summa, clearly, but this particular abridged "philosophical" edition. |
