Review # 2 was written on 2020-01-21 00:00:00 Michael Banks This book was about several people in the town of Waxahachie. There are a little girl and her sister who daughters of the pastor, the imposter satanist, a son of a different pastor, a local police officer, and a Guatemalan immigrant who lives in an abandoned house and loves to watch Wheel of Fortune. The main conflict is between Eva (pastors daughter) and Kenlow (pastors son). The conflict was man versus man. The climactic scene was when Kenlow set that fire and Eva didn't want to help him but did. This book was really good. I loved all the different perspectives and how they came together and told a story with a lot of different parts. I thought it was fun to read about the satanist and then also be reading about how to get a green card for Alfredo. I also liked the elements of humor with all of Alfredos English phrases from TV. |
