Review # 1 was written on 2017-01-20 00:00:00 Apo Rison I thought that three of the essays in particular were remarkable reads: Lisca's, Goldhurst's and Gurko. Others were enjoyable but not great.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-08-24 00:00:00 Brian Schumacher I've been reading a fair bit of Faulkner lately, including "Absalom, Absalom," which was a difficult read. I also re-read "The Sound and the Fury," which I loved both times. This book of academic essays shed a small bit of light on what I had just read, but nothing earthshaking. Perhaps I should be less disappointed with this book and more pleased with my comprehension of the brilliant William Faulkner.
