This book wasn't quite what I expected. On the one hand, I appreciated that this book presented a variety of different views across the political spectrum. On the other hand, some of the essays were significantly poorer in quality compared to their counterpart essays (and I'm not just talking about the essays I disagreed with. It was more like I'd read an argument and think I myself could argue it better than that even if I didn't hold the position myself and I'm not a scholar or law professor discussing an area of my expertise). So overall it was kind of tedious to read even if I enjoyed seeing some familiar and some not-so-familiar names pop up throughout the book. "I fear that by framing the debate as we have - as one in which the liberty of free speech is in conflict with the elimination of racism - we have advanced the cause of racial oppression and have placed the bigot on the moral high ground, fanning the rising flames of racism." "Every disadvanaged group and individual needs the strongest possible system of free expression to voice grievances and to agitate for change."

I thought the book really grasped the incentive and the importance of digital censorship and why it is argued so much. A must read!
