The publishers are correct that in order to full understand a controversial issue, you need to consider all relevant viewpoints. I imagine it is impossible to read all of these articles and not come away knowing what your opinion is, and I imagine someone else could read the book and get the exact opposite opinion. Having said that, I can only tell you what I learned: Some of the contributors state that women often earn less than men, and then also mention that women generally have more responsibility to care for sick family members. I believe that every woman should have the right to determine whether to have a family or pursue a career, but unless you have sufficient resources, that may be the choice you have to make. Some contributors even claim that women want a greater share of the professional world, and men need to grow up and take a greater share of caring for children. They never get around to saying how this new system, which is not fully embraced by all women but seems to be shoved down their throat, is any better than the traditional family model. Reading this book, I have a greater appreciation for how the genders are complementary if not equal in all things.
