Review # 1 was written on 2017-06-20 00:00:00 Jay Gotery This book is the follow-up to First We Have Coffee in which Margaret Jensen shares about how it was growing up in her Norwegian household. The first book was more about her mother. This book is mainly about her father, or rather her coming to grips with her father's anger and rage. This book was a much harder, more painful read. It didn't give that heart-warming feeling the first book did. Instead it was more like her father in content: restless. In the end Margaret came to see her father through the eyes of love, not judgment, and learned anew how to appreciate him even with all of his imperfections. Worth reading for sure. Great spiritual lessons. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-01-25 00:00:00 Chris Franco I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It gave me many things to ponder and made me rethink a few things too. I am so glad I got this book. I encourage believers and thoae just curious about the Bible to read this. |
