Review # 1 was written on 2015-01-01 00:00:00 Phil Kos I enjoyed the travel descriptions as well as the author's father's recollections of the same places from WWII. This was a quick read, presented with mild humor. I wish that it had been more meticulously edited; I prefer not to be stumbling over spelling and typo errors.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-08-18 00:00:00 Diego Soto Meh. I shouldn't have bothered to finish this book. Travel writing is an art that can't be done well if you're anything less than excellent. Patrick Kinkade's writing leaves a lot to be desired. The two stars are for a few funny lines and for the father's war story.
