Review # 1 was written on 2019-09-18 00:00:00 Roman Acosta Outstanding collection of essays on Biblical interpretation of the New Testament with emphasis on issues dealing with NT interpretation of the OT. This is the culmination of years of study from Dr Ellis and is profitable to all who read. He will be missed for his insight and discernment and a great classroom teacher with a passion for the Lord and His Word. Not a book to skim through but sit down and reflect and examine the scriptures with.

He's one of the few journalists who can entice me to read whatever it is he's exploring, whether it's something I'm interested in or something I couldn't care less about. I'm addicted to trawling through old issues of The Monthly just to find articles he's penned. He has a subtle and mischievous sense of humour that sneaks in at the perfect moment, and he seems to dedicate his entire soul to the task at hand. It's rare to see such passion and interest in journalism.
