Review # 1 was written on 2021-08-07 00:00:00 Ghada El Sayed This story walks readers through the real life applications of shapes! Each page will start with a simple shape. That simple shape will then have other shapes or objects added to it to make a real life object. Such as a house starting as a square but as more gets added to the square, it turns into a house! This book would be great for younger students who are just learning and gaining exposure to shapes. Just as the book takes a shape and creates a real life object, I think that would make a great project for the students! The students could create their own The Shape of Things book. I can picture a student either observing objects at school or even think beyond the classroom of objects at home. This book provides perfect examples of how learning at school goes beyond the classroom. |
Review # 2 was written on 2021-05-27 00:00:00 Angela Anello This book is great for students to see how shapes are everywhere around them. They can see that everything is made out of shapes and they can identify those shapes in their daily lives. I love the illustrations in this book. I think that students would be very engaged in a lesson with this book. |
