Review # 1 was written on 2016-01-10 00:00:00 Roy Osborne Lovely antidote to H. Alan Day's miserable "The Horse Lover: A Cowboy's Quest to Save the Wild Mustangs." Here's where the idea of creating a sanctuary for unadoptable mustangs actually worked out. Lovely photos of landscape and horses. Very soothing. Only complaint -- too darn short. |
Review # 2 was written on 2017-06-12 00:00:00 Matt Deshais Almost 5 stars. GREAT BOOK!!! It may appear to be one of those dry non-fiction children's books. Don't let that fool you--it is NOT! This is a WONDERFUL modern day treasure hunt! We read this over the course of a few days and my girls LOVED it! They were sad when it ended and look forward to a visit to Ecuador someday. Stories we've learned previously about the Inca's were reinforced and really came alive through the author's own quest for buried treasure. |
