Review # 1 was written on 2017-02-08 00:00:00 Fred Pouliot This review is of a copy of the book written and published in or around 1934; it contains the original work by George Burton Adams in 1921, and 3 chapters added by Robert Schuyler in a revised edition in 1934. The original work, while unarguably bit dry, manages to present its material in a somewhat readable format and style, and gives a very good account of itself as a source of information on the subject. The later chapters by Mr. Schuyler, while not without interest, are severely dated given that they are supposed to be "bringing the material up to date", but are 80 years out of date. On the whole, the book gives a thorough look into the development of the English political system up through 1934, and if such an esoteric subject holds interest for you, it is well worth trying to track down a copy. But it is certainly not of interest to everyone.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-08-09 00:00:00 Misty Acheson I really enjoyed the first half of the book when it was focused on the history, but eventually the book felt off trend and hard to follow. The history was very well written but his personal outlooks of modern brewing industry and his travels were dense and less interesting. Would have rated it higher if the editor had cut a good third of the book out entirely.
