This was about a Teacher, Margo Brown who is shocked to learn of a student's death. Something is just not right and so, being a dedicated teacher, she goes hunting to find the true reason for Johnny Benson's death. This book was written as a crime mystery, however, I feel it should have been an essay on life. Ms. Day has a powerful voice and a serious message to impart to all of us, whether we have children or not. Teaching has become a 'job' more than a vocation as society has changed and the children are feeling the gap. Ms. Day adds an "Epilogue" at the ending of the book, which to me, was more powerful than the entire book. I hope she will write a non-fiction novel concerning this subject as society needs to hear her words.
