My only criticism - hence the three star rating - is the lack of background information so commonly provided in elementary texts of most disciplines. Most intro classes I've attended are accompanied by texts containing historical roots and contending schools of thought. This textbook, however, presents the most prominent theory as if it's the only theory. |
