Review # 1 was written on 2012-01-21 00:00:00 Jordell Fowler Our youngest is horse-crazy, so she borrowed this book as well as Palomino Horses and Shetland Ponies, all by the same author, from her elementary school library. As with the other books we've read in this series (Pinto Horses and Arabian Horses), we've discovered that they contain the same chapters and much of the same information. Still, we enjoyed looking at the pictures and our girls love how majestic and beautiful the animals are. We brought our girls to some stables to ride and learn about how to care for horses this past weekend and much of the information in these books was reiterated there. We plan to sign them up for riding lessons and I expect we'll be in a horse-crazy phase for some time to come.
