This fifth book in the Honor Series brings Lt. Peter Wake to Europe in 1873, where he gets embroiled in political intrigue and dangerous escapades that will keep you turning pages. As you race toward the finale, you won't be able to put this book down. Peter is a noble hero and one whose career you'll want to keep following. From frightening encounters with snakes worthy of Indiana Jones to capture by slavers in a foreign land, Peter maintains his cool head and reason prevails. His only weakness is his troubled marriage, but his honorable nature keeps him steadfast to his true love. Excellent world building, complex historical details, and dynamic storytelling. An Affair of Honor is immersive, exciting, and informative. I can't wait for the sequel.

Macomber has done another excellent job in putting together an exciting and amazing story as we follow the career of Lt. Peter Wake USN. As I stated in my review of the previous novel, A DISHONORABLE FEW, each book seems to be a bit better. So looking forward to the next in the series!
