Review # 1 was written on 2016-01-09 00:00:00 Catherine Hartman The book I read was The Nutcracker by the Running Press. Fritz and Maria are siblings, but a little unlike each other. They host a Christmas party at their house, and invite family and friends. Grandfather Drosselmayer is invited, and has a special gift for Maria. The magical gift is a Nutcracker it is a Nutcracker that is not so normal. This Nutcracker is able to come alive. Maria shows love and cares for this Nutcracker that it becomes more than just a gift, and a toy, it becomes a friend. I rate this book a solid 10. I really like this book because the mystery and the suspense. I also enjoyed this book because of the illustrations that were in color. The illustrations are really awesome, they kind of looked like they were painted. I think many people would love this book if they chose it. If they like a holiday and a family type of book with joy and happiness. The book is just perfect for those kind of people. Also, if they like books that don’t have a lot of action and only one main conflict in the story. This book is for people who love to read different types of books unlike action.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-09-21 00:00:00 Elizabeth Jochman This book has many lovely photos, and is not burdened with a large amount of dry text, so if you're looking for a quick, visually pleasing read, this will work. My complaints are that it has a section that is labeled Midwest, but probably 75% of this book is dedicated to the East coast. I get that, as that section of the country has a larger selection of old buildings. I would have liked to see this book about twice the size it is, with more photos of churches from other regions.
