Like these except for the tales about historic, real people. Not sure how I feel about Pocohontas and Davy Crockett, but I was okay with Johnny Appleseed because so much of what he did seemed like a myth. Stories about Paul Bunyan and Pecos Bill, etc. were good and fun for kids.

I had heard of Pocahontas but I didn't know it was a Folk Tale. I didn't actually know she was a real person either. I had heard of Paul Bunyan as well, but I didn't know much about him. I enjoy tall tales and really enjoyed this book. I kept asking my mom to read more. ~ Jack, age 10
