Review # 1 was written on 2012-12-16 00:00:00 Robert Cortez Mainly I liked this because it gave me insight into the life of a person with a disability. I am on crutches due to a femur fracture and my friend picked this out of my TBR pile for me to get motivated. Thankfully I will walk without crutches soon but the stories in this book involve life-long change for all. I liked his honesty and humor. And I like that he is from TX where I currently reside. My interest is certainly peaked re:paralympics and wheelchair sports now.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-07-07 00:00:00 William Mcgowan Although there are some great essays in this text, I wanted some of the standards folks often see in intro to women studies courses. This is my main complaint. It could not be an exhaustive text--one must supplement with other books or lots and lots of print-outs.
