Review # 1 was written on 2014-11-27 00:00:00 W Gary Mcguire As someone that has taught math for many years in general and specifically tutored several students preparing for college placement exams, I have seen several books specifically designed to provide practice problems in math. This book ranks up there with the best of them. The problems require some non-obvious yet non-trivial thinking to understand and then solve the problem. Even experienced teachers may have to read some of the questions twice in order to understand and solve them. They are excellent exercises for the mathematical muscles needed to succeed in the math portion for both types of college placement exams. |
