Review # 1 was written on 2018-05-23 00:00:00 Warren Harris The Western Dakota landscape "gets under your skin." (No wait...maybe that is the ticks.) Theodore Roosevelt National Park is a wonderful wildlife park (along with great hiking). This book does a great job with trail descriptions and trailhead access. It also gives you that something extra in descriptions to help you enjoy the trip more. The Maah Daah Hey trail is a great treat for mountain bikers. (I've backpacked most of it, but not biked it.) Because of this book, I am headed to the Western Dakotas for vacation this summer. If you're also headed to the Black Hills of S.D., check out the Mickelson Trail...and H. Rogers' Black Hills book. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-09-10 00:00:00 Jeff Lukas I was lucky enough to experience part of this trail via horseback this summer. I'm trying to plan a trip that will traverse the whole trail in a week or 10 days. So far my traveling buddies appear up for it. Has anyone out there done the whole trail by horseback? Biked it? Hiked it? |
