Review # 1 was written on 2012-12-27 00:00:00 Marvin Kirkland I am a Mainer born and raised. Inland where I think it is the most beautiful. I'm sick of books touting the coast as if that is all there is to Maine - lighthouses and granite cliffs, sailing ships, lobster boats and crashing surf, with a nod to inland with a photo of a moose and Mt. Katahdin. Basically this is a paean to and for tourists . . . I am going to repurpose this book, wipe out the boring observations of Bill Caldwell & others with my own poetry, photos I love, personal observations not necessarily politically correct and generally turn it into a book I can love, laugh with and share with friends. Thank you very much.
