Review # 1 was written on 2021-01-22 00:00:00 Nicholas Coll The sample projects are too detailed for a beginner and due to the detail and the small book format many of the pictures are quite small. There is still some interest in looking through them and I will pick something up. |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-11-02 00:00:00 Jocy Berklund I would not recommend this book for a beginner. I bought this book just for that reason. The beginning of the book is excellent. It provides the basics, including a great color wheel, and paint color combinations. I also found the information on painting supplies very helpful and easy to understand. The pictures, which are beautiful, are extremely detail-oriented and not for a beginner. In order to draw these pictures on watercolor paper, one would have to be extremely skilled. If you have experience, this might be an excellent book for you. If you are a beginner, I would pass on this, or wait until your skills improve. |
