DNF, but I feel compelled to write a review, if only to warn others. The book seeks to cover the peoples of each of the Thirteen Colonies. opens with a paean to Virginians, which was mostly interesting if old-fashioned in its style. When he moved to Massachusetts, however, he treated those forebears as trolls, consistently negative throughout. Our society is divided enough without some outdated “history” book to fan the flames.
