Review # 1 was written on 2007-03-25 00:00:00 Charles Bartholomew I purchased this book because I am a big fan of Gwen's blog. Gwen is an excellent writer and this is a collection of short stories with a feminist bent that run the gamut from funny to sad to hopeful.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-05-17 00:00:00 Brad Richins I read this and read this and read this and read this. I have lines from some of the pieces committed to memory. What I like most about Gwendolyn is that her prose is effortless. Even before I had researched her and met her in person, I could hear her voice, and that's a big deal with so many folks putting out their personal versions of crap nowadays. Even though I write, I won't say that reading her work makes me want to write. That's not true. When I read her stuff, I just want to read more of her stuff. She's like McMurtry to me in that way. I want there to always be a next book - a next character, a next sassy line. I just want to enjoy her stuff. And if, one day, I DO finish my writing projects, well, then I'll just be glad to be in the same company as someone like her.
