Review # 1 was written on 2017-11-20 00:00:00 nah son If you can find it, this book is one of Runyon's best offerings. Court room coverage, Runyon-style. The writing is so crisp, intoxicating, you dont want the book to end. These aren't characters dreamed up by a clever wit, but real people and their court room antics in the pre- OJ Simpson/ Pulitzer trial coverage world. The tawdry tale of "Daddy" and "Peaches" comes to mind immediately as a high lite. If you never got into Runyon before, here you go. He's at his vernacular peak. See what the fuss is all about with Runyon.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-02-09 00:00:00 Jim Zarifis Damon Runyon had a remarkable prose style and was able to discuss with clear and lucid prose the nuances of the trials he covered for the lay audience. His writing was for a polite , more literate era.
