Review # 1 was written on 2019-09-08 00:00:00 Frank Mayer I read this book early in my journey to fat positivity and health at every size. It's not perfectly aligned with HAES but does deconstruct a lot of the social messages around body image and promotes more of an "intuitive eating" approach to nutrition. I still recommend this book to folks who are struggling with body image but aren't 100 percent on board with HAES. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-06-30 00:00:00 Amber Bippert This is the second book on boundaries that's from a patriarchal monotheist point of view, although this one doesn't jam it down your throat as much as the previous one, and this one actually has useful stuff in it. I think that imposing your religion on others is a violation of boundaries. There were also too many references to his other books. In other words, he was promoting them (you'll learn more about this if you read my book, so-and-so) in the midst of this book. |
