Daniela Gioseffi has created a masterpiece with "Women on War"! This book offers a variety of essays, poems, novel excerpts and more from many of the world's greatest women writers reflecting on man's inhumanity and the tragic events of war. The book, divided into four parts, offers the reader a wealth of knowledge and revelation on the atrocities of past and present conflicts--described by many of the women who had experienced them first-hand and survived to tell their stories. There is also an outstanding introduction by Daniela Gioseffi, as well as her exceptional poem titled, "Don't Speak the Language of the Enemy!" and "The Exotic Enemy: A Story." This book is a courageous compilation, written by women who were not afraid to voice their perspectives on the horrors of war.

heartbreakingly sad -- not just for all of the great thoughts contained in this book but because so much of these thoughts has been and are being ignored.
