Review # 1 was written on 2018-01-30 00:00:00 Angelia Senters This book, Ten Dogs in the Window, was such a great read! I will definitely love to have this book in my future classroom because I had so much fun reading it that I know my future students will enjoy reading it as well. Also, it incorporates counting while reading so it would be great to use in a simple math lesson counting to ten. My only negative thought is that I wish there was a Ten Cats book by the same author. I'm partial to cats. Description: After ten dogs are placed in a display window for the whole wide world to see, one by one their numbers diminish until the last canine departs with its new owner. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-10-20 00:00:00 Jay Margolis This was fun! The text is repetitious, but that's great for a toddler. Not only that, we were able to make up stories about the characters and their personal lives. Do they families at home? Other dogs? Does that man know that dogs shouldn't eat ice cream? Why are the dogs eating each other? The library edition of this book came with a bonus torn page sewn together by tape that made both the people and dog seem a bit deformed for a couple pages. You bet we had a nice long talk about that! |
