Review # 1 was written on 2013-04-16 00:00:00 Melanie Garrett An eye-opening account and oftentimes disturbing, brutally candid first-hand account of Dexter Manley’s struggles with an unloving father, illiteracy (due to a long undiagnosed learning disability), infidelity, and drug addiction en route to (and after) his winning two Super Bowl titles with the Washington Redskins (that’s right, I said “Redskins,” not “Washington Football Team”). |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-06-17 00:00:00 Rey Hoffman Fairly interesting book on Dexter Manley. Gives a good glimpse into the mind of an addict. The book was written at a point in his life where he was still dealing with his demons so you don't get a sense of whether he finally overcame them. |
