Review # 1 was written on 2019-10-17 00:00:00 Karen Summerton I was curious what is considered outstanding resumes and cover letters. The book was basic and had tons of examples of resume writing for specific careers and copied those pages for future notice when considering to update my resume/s. Cover letters, only saw one that said the right way and quite a bit of the wrong way to do them. This is not a typical read book; it is more or less a research tool to find what you are looking for and follow the format, or learn how to better what you already have (i.e. resume). It is examples to tailor your resume and/or cover letter. Disclaimer: I borrowed a copy to review and take notes. |
Review # 2 was written on 2008-05-03 00:00:00 Lisa Cooley Full of good information, but I was surprised at the lazy examples. There are quite a few examples where the tabs were not set correctly, and they appear to advocate word hyphenation instead of justifying the lines. My advice is to look at the content, but do not follow the layout examples as to how a resume should look. The formatting mistakes/suggestions made them cumbersome and unappealing. |
