Since I’m writing American police officers, it only makes sense that I know what’s required so I can write them properly. There wasn’t too much I wasn’t expecting, though I do wish they’d be able to include more information about the oral exam, since that seems the one mostly likely to cause trouble if you have a questionable past. But it’s good knowledge to have and the book includes 3 written exams so you can see the kinds of questions asked.
