Review # 1 was written on 2009-05-29 00:00:00 Lori Heagerty State constitutional law is fascinating subject matter, but this book is choppy and the editing is somewhat poor. As far as I know, sadly, it is the only casebook on state constitutional law. So, if you want to understand how state constitutional law is unique from federal constitutional law, this is pretty much it. =P |
Review # 2 was written on 2008-10-07 00:00:00 William Rafferty Oh God... how does one review a book like this? I think Bultmann is a good reader--an amazing reader even, but his presuppositions and commitments (both historically and philosophically) are so problematic that it razes his project to the ground. The notion that there could be individual forms circulating behind the Gospel tradition is helpful, practical, and might even be useful, but the type of source-critical work this inspires is just.... scary. We need a more realistic approach about "seams" in texts. |
