Review # 1 was written on 2011-07-25 00:00:00 Wally Tulk Above-average making-of. Its day-by-day minutiae of production schedules and special effects makes this book at times as fun as reading a purchase order. So in-depth the reader may feel it would be much easier to just remake the goddamn movie himself than read the book.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-08-07 00:00:00 Chuck Bradford Light on interesting anecdotes and heavy on painstaking lists of movies, previous and post accomplishments of everyone involved. Very detailed in technical aspects (especially of special effects), but weak in what Rick Springfield would call "the human touch." We all need it! The human touch, not this book.
