Review # 1 was written on 2019-05-03 00:00:00 Juicypen Cameron I find it somewhat ironic that in Chapter 22, titled "Yanks on Their Way Back", the author proceeds to describe the sinking of the transport ship USS McCawley, the destroyer USS Strong, and the cruiser USS Helena. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-08-04 00:00:00 Carissa Nye Good book from British view This contents of this book is most from Imperial War Museum and other personal accounts. It is pretty accurate in that part. But it is not so accurate in US Navy operations, especially in Battle if Coral Sea and Battle of Midway. I believe the author uses materials from official communiques for most US Navy operations, which is not what really happened precisely. |
