Review # 1 was written on 2017-02-24 00:00:00 Ralph Vassallo After reading "Convoy Will Scatter" by the same author recently and enjoying it, I started with another of his books. I like the authors writing style and all his attention to detail about the men and ships involved in the voyages of the Kriegsmarine's ships, Pinguin and Admiral Hipper. The details of both ships' raiding voyages is very thorough, as well as the histories of all ships involved in all the battles. You never wonder what happened to the men and ships as the author gives you the full story. Will definitely be reading more of Bernard Edwards' books. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-04-18 00:00:00 Bosanadeljazero Butts Really enjoyed this rousing tale of the comparison of the two German Raiders: The heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper and the Hilfskreuzer Kandelfels. Lots of human interest and little details makes this book a very enjoyable read. Highly recommened. |
