I absolutely loved this book. I didn't even know of this book's existence until reading David Pryor's autobiography and he mentioned the book because his wife Barbara wrote one of the chapters. So I found a used copy on Amazon. Even though it was published 20 years ago, it brought back a lot of fond memories of my home state. If you're a native Arkansan, you will absolutely love this book. For the places mentioned in the book which you've personally visited, it will bring them alive once again for you. For the places you haven't visited, the writing of every chapter is good and will bring those places alive for you and will make you want to visit some or all of them. My favorite chapters were on the Old State House in Little Rock (there were two of those) and the chapter on Queen Wilhimena Park located outside Mena. Each chapter is written by a well known (at least within the state) Arkansan about their favorite place in Arkansas. It's about 160 pages with pictures so it won't take you long to read. I highly recommend this book and wish they would do an update.
